Mathematics
From counting to AP Calculus, math plays a critical role in academics. Math is taught in English following the US Common Core with the highly regarded SAVVAS EnVision curriculum. Students are benchmark tested by NWEA MAP three times yearly to make sure that growth is consistent, complete, and leads to the academic outcomes that open doors to universities and careers. Students may take either integrated mathematics in grade 8, or enter the high school track early with Algebra 1. Students complete their math profile with AP PreCalculus and AP Calculus courses.

STEM (Science)
We know that the famous scientific minds throughout history were also the most creative. Science begins in the Kindergarten program with inquiry, curiosity, and nature-driven arts. In elementary, science focuses on understanding the environment, from the classroom to the world, and is taught in English to apply language skills to observation and experimentation. Secondary science spirals through chemistry, biology, physics and environmental studies year by year to prepare students for the rigor of year-long high school classes. Westview offers AP Biology, Chemistry and Physics, preparing students for AP study in grades 11 and 12. Pre-AP Biology, Chemistry and Physics are offered as preparatory courses for the formal AP science series. To further develop the scientific curiosity, Westview offers an arts program in its core curriculum through grade 10.
